Yes! When you choose a product we will prompt you for delivery and pickup timing so our dispatch team can plan your order.

We recommend 24–48 hours for guaranteed availability. Same-day delivery is often possible — call to confirm based on your location and the size you need.

No. As long as we know where to place the dumpster and there’s clear access, we can drop off and pick up without you present. Just confirm placement when you book.

We’ll pick up on the next available business day. No action needed — your rental timeline is paused during that gap and you won’t be charged extra for it.

Yes. 1-day starts at $240 for a 10-Yard. Book online or call — we deliver in the morning and pick up when you’re ready.

Yes. Contractor accounts support multiple active rentals. Call (919) 823-4295 to coordinate.

Sizing

The 20-yard is our most popular option and handles most residential cleanouts, remodels, and renovation projects. For a single room or smaller cleanout, go with the 10-yard. If you need a little more room for bulky junk, garage cleanouts, bathroom gut-outs, or small renovations, the 15-yard is a great middle option. For major construction, large remodels, or whole-house cleanouts, go 30-yard. Not sure? Call us — we’ll size it right in 60 seconds.

Standard two-car garage = 10-Yard. Heavily loaded or clearing other areas too = 20-yard.

For a single-room or garage cleanout, go with a 10-Yard. For a whole-house cleanout or major renovation, most homeowners use the 20-yard. For estate cleanouts combining multiple project types, the 30-yard gives you headroom. Call (919) 823-4295 if you’re unsure.

Depends on driveway length — the container is ~16 ft long. Measure before booking; you need 20+ ft of clear space for the door to open.

Plan on multiple 30-yard swap-outs. The framing phase alone can fill one container.

~18–20 squares (single layer) at ~250 lbs/square. Double-layer tear-offs cut that in half due to weight limits.

Targeted interior demo or a small single-room project: 10-yard. Bathroom gut-outs, garage cleanouts, flooring tear-outs, or 1–2 room projects with bulkier debris: 15-yard. Full interior gut, larger remodel, or multi-room demolition: 20-yard. Full structural teardown, major construction debris, or whole-house gut: 30-yard. Heavy concrete, brick, block, tile, and masonry loads may hit weight limits before the container looks full. Call (919) 823-4295 and describe the job — we’ll give you a straight answer.

Size up when you’re unsure. The difference between a 10-yard 1-day rental at $240 and a 20-yard 1-day rental at $295 is only $55. If you need a middle option, the 15-yard starts at $260 and gives you more room than the 10-yard. A second pull usually costs far more than choosing the right size upfront.

Pricing

Flat-rate pricing for all four sizes:

10-Yard: $240 (1-day) | $270 (3-day) | $330 (7-day) — 2,000-lb limit
15-Yard: $260 (1-day) | $290 (3-day) | $350 (7-day) — 2,000-lb limit
20-Yard: $295 (1-day) | $335 (3-day) | $395 (7-day) — 3,000-lb limit

None on the base rental. Delivery, pickup, disposal, and your full rental period are all included in one flat rate. The only extras: overage weight, extended rental days, and a one-way mileage fee for deliveries outside 15 miles from our office — which we’ll quote upfront before you book. No surprises at pickup.

We offer 1-day, 3-day, and 7-day rentals for every dumpster size. Each tier has its own flat rate — no hourly or per-day charges inside your rental window. Need more time? Just call before your period ends and we’ll extend at a flat $15/day rate.

Weight overages are billed at $0.04/lb beyond the included limit for your size. Extra days beyond your rental period are $15/day. A one-way mileage fee may apply for deliveries beyond 15 miles from our Raleigh office — we’ll quote this upfront at booking.

We take all major credit and debit cards. Your card is charged at booking. Any additional charges (overages, extensions) are billed after pickup.

You’ll be billed for the overage at $0.04/lb. The easiest way to avoid it: call us before you book and describe your project. We’ll recommend the right size so you don’t overpay or overload.

Call before your rental period ends. Additional days are $15/day. We’ll extend as needed.

$395 (1-day), $435 (3-day), $495 (7-day). 4,000-lb limit, $0.04/lb overage. 5% off when you book online.

Placement

Driveways, parking lots, or on the street with a permit. We work with you on exact placement at the time of delivery or you can choose the exact placement via Google Maps when you book online!
Some risk exists anytime a loaded container sits on a surface. We offer driveway protection boards as an optional add-on at $35 — recommended for asphalt or older concrete. Let us know at booking.
In almost every case, yes. Our containers are sized to fit a standard residential driveway. If your driveway is particularly narrow, steep, or has low-hanging obstacles, let us know ahead of time and we’ll figure out placement before delivery.
Yes — most residential customers place the dumpster in their driveway. We work with you on exact placement at delivery, or choose the exact spot via Google Maps when booking online. Driveway protection boards are available as an optional add-on at $35.
It depends on your city. Raleigh, Durham, and Cary each have their own permit requirements for dumpsters on public streets. We can help you navigate the permit process — just let us know at booking.
In most cases, no. Dumpsters on private property (driveways) typically don’t require a permit in the Raleigh area. Street placement may require a permit in some municipalities — let us know at booking and we can advise.

What Can Go In

Most household and construction debris is accepted: furniture, appliances, drywall, roofing shingles, lumber, concrete, flooring, yard waste, electronics, and general junk. Not accepted: hazardous waste, paint, chemicals, asbestos, propane tanks, batteries, liquid waste, and tires (call to confirm).
Yes, in our 10-Yard containers. Heavy materials require special handling due to their weight. Give us a heads-up at booking if your project involves concrete, dirt, asphalt, or masonry. We’ll make sure you get the right container. Use a 10-Yard for heavy loads and expect overage at $0.04/lb.
Yes, with conditions. Shingles are heavy and carry a disposal surcharge. Let us know at booking that your project involves roofing debris — we’ll set you up with the right container and give you the full pricing picture upfront.
Yes, but yard waste — branches, stumps, sod, brush — typically needs to go in a separate load from household debris and construction materials due to disposal requirements. Let us know what you’ve got and we’ll tell you exactly how to handle it.
Hazardous materials (chemicals, solvents, pesticides, asbestos), liquid paint, batteries, propane tanks, Freon, liquids of any kind, and medical or biohazardous waste. These require special disposal — we’re happy to point you to the right local facility if needed.
Mixed C&D is fine. No sorting required. Only prohibited materials must stay out.
Yes. Just watch total weight — shingles combined with heavy debris can exceed the limit faster than expected.
Yes, but watch the weight — concrete is extremely dense and a half-full container can already be near the weight limit. Mix with lighter materials (drywall, wood framing) to stay within limits. For exclusively concrete loads, call (919) 823-4295 to plan the load.

General

Homeowners doing cleanouts and renovations, real estate agents and investors flipping properties, landlords and property managers turning over units, and contractors from solo remodelers to larger construction crews. If you’re generating waste in the Triangle, we’ve got the right container for the job.
Full-service junk crew: you’re paying for labor, working around their schedule, per-load pricing adds up. With Red Hawk, one flat rate, keep it a full week, work on your own timeline — no strangers in your home, no rushing. For most projects that generate waste over multiple days, renting is the smarter, cheaper move. A junk hauler half-truck runs $350–$500; our 10-Yard starts at $240. If you can load it yourself, you save hundreds.

For most jobs, yes — significantly. A half-truck load from a full-service hauler typically runs $350–$500. Our 10-Yard dumpster starts at $240 for a full day of loading. If you can load it yourself, you save hundreds.

Demolition Specific

Most demo materials are fine: drywall, lumber, roofing shingles, concrete, block, brick, tile, metal framing, and fixtures.

Prohibited: asbestos-containing materials, lead paint, hazardous chemicals, oils, solvents, tires, batteries, and propane tanks.

No. ACMs require licensed abatement and cannot go in a roll-off container. If working on a pre-1980 structure, have a licensed inspector assess before demo begins. Once ACMs are properly abated, the remaining debris goes in our containers.

Concrete and masonry are dense — one pallet of concrete blocks can easily top 2,000 lbs. Our 30-yard allows up to 3 tons, but heavy demo loads fill that fast.

Yes — mixed C&D is fine. Lumber, drywall, metal framing all go in together.

Most partial demos wrap in 1–3 days. Whole-home demos typically need a 7-day rental with 1–2 swap-outs.

Contractor / Service

Call when it’s approaching capacity. We pull the full one and drop a fresh container, usually same-day or next morning. For predictable multi-container jobs, tell us at booking so we can hold availability.
Call (919) 823-4295. Takes about 5 minutes. No minimum volume.
Our standard pricing is already competitive, and contractor accounts get consistent pricing with no per-job re-quoting. For high-volume clients, we can discuss volume arrangements — call to talk through your typical job cadence.

Commercial Service

Yes. We work with property managers and contractors who need regular service. Call (919) 823-4295 to discuss your volume and schedule, and we’ll set up an arrangement that fits your operation.
It depends on the scope. A single-room office demo typically fits in a 13 or 20-yard. A full-floor gut typically warrants a 30-yard or a swap-out arrangement. Call us with your square footage and scope and we’ll make a recommendation.
We can invoice on net terms for established accounts. Talk to us when you set up your account and we’ll work out an arrangement that fits your AP process.

Bulk Material Delivery

A moderate refresh of shrub beds around a standard Raleigh-area home typically requires 3–6 cubic yards of mulch. Use the formula: Length × Width × Depth (inches) ÷ 324 = yards needed. When in doubt, add 10% and round up.

Yes — this is one of the things that makes Red Hawk different. Our trucks handle both. Call (919) 823-4295 and tell us what you need delivered and what needs to be picked up, and we’ll coordinate it on one run when scheduling allows.

Call us at (919) 823-4295 for current minimums and pricing. Material delivery pricing depends on quantity and material type.

Yes. We deliver throughout the Triangle including Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, and surrounding areas. Call to confirm coverage and delivery pricing for your location.

Topsoil is screened and contains organic matter — it supports plant growth and is used for garden beds, lawn repair, and raised beds. Fill dirt is unscreened subsoil used for grading, structural fill, and leveling low spots. It won’t support plant growth without a topsoil layer on top.
